Year 6 Trip to St. Fagans

Pupils from year 6 experienced what it was like to attend a Victorian School over 150 years ago when they visited St. Fagans Museum in the Vale of Glamorgan. The 'Welsh Not', 'finger stocks' and not being allowed to write left handed using ink pens were just some of the things the pupils had to get to grips with!!!

Mr. Thomas seemed to be enjoying the experience!! 'Children are seen but not heard' and 'silence is golden!' were just some of the exclamations wafting out of the school house. Visitors seemed reluctant to venture too far into the classroom, particularly when a boy was being punished for speaking in welsh!!!!
Pupils concluded their visit by playing with victorian toys in the playground. Boys and girls segregated of course!!
