Murch Junior School recycles 8564 Christmas cards!

Thank you to all of you who spent time collecting and counting up your cards for recyling. A special thank you to the Eco Council and the pupils in 4N for putting the cards into bags and carrying them to the hall ready for collection. Miss Netherway's stock cupboard breathed a huge sigh of relief!

CHILDREN DIG UP SCHOOL GROUNDS

Woodland Trust helps pupils from Murch Junior create a copse on the edge of the school garden.

The Eco Council has joined forces with the Woodland Trust, the UK’s leading woodland conservation charity, to plant a native copse in the school grounds. The trees and shrubs are all native broadleaved which means, that with a little luck, they will be growing on well into the next century – when the children’s grandchildren will be able to inspect their handiwork.

Thank you to Mr Lambert for helping the pupils (and Miss Netherway!) with the intial task of digging the pits.
